You don’t need to be single to attend this one – everyone is welcome to learn and have fun!
We will have the back area reserved at Dos Luces. If you are fully vaccinated, you will not be required to wear a mask to enter. Please note that facial expressions are an important part of ASL, so if you prefer to still wear a mask, we can set up a seat that is socially distanced for you. We want everyone to feel comfortable & have a great time!
Matthew Simmons will be teaching & our very own, Lyndsey Gibbons (event coordinator/ social butterfly/ professional interpreter) will be assisting along the way!
About Matthew:
Matthew Simmons is a proud Deaf man who moved to Denver last year. He works full time at an awesome food store & teaches ASL part time. On a daily basis he uses lip reading, signing & speaking for communication. He loves spending time with friends, hiking, camping & enjoying the outdoors. “It truly inspires me to have the privilege of bridging the gap between the Deaf & hearing worlds by sharing my language & culture with others!”
